D’ Swarte Walvis is an official wedding location. This means that you can also have your ceremony at the restaurant and you will not lose any time by driving back and forth. And of course we would love to host your reception, lunch, dinner and/or party as well. Besides getting married at D’Swarte Walvis it is also possible to have your ceremony in the old town hall of Zaandijk (Het Raadhuis), opposite of D’Swarte Walvis, on the other side of the river.

This beautiful 18th century building is the perfect location for an intimate and romantic ceremony.

When the weather is nice, the garden could be the décor for your reception, or step aboard a boat for a sail across the Zaan river to reach D’Swarte Walvis.
With these two beautiful locations on the Zaan river we have all the means to make your wedding day unforgettable.
